SUSAN WYATT. VIC:
Susan has had a passion for horses since she was 3 years of age. This passion is now manifested in her love of ‘helping horses by educating humans’ as stated by The Equine Touch Foundation’s mission statement. Along life’s journey she has raised 3 sons, had an extensive career and knowledge in the medical and nursing field, and experienced many different types of horse activities and sports. Her journey led her to Natural Horsemanship in 1997 and then on to Equine Touch. Susan qualified as a Practitioner in early 2006 and in 2007 was the first person globally selected to attend the Inaugural ET Instructors Course in San Marcos Texas. She now lives with her family and 2 horses in beautiful Woodend in Victoria and travels to teach Equine Touch. She runs a thriving ET Practice that encompasses all breeds and types from Dressage horses to beloved Pony Club ponies, with Rescued horses and their very special needs in the mix as well. Her greatest love, though, is to be able to ‘pass the baton’ of knowledge on to other horse owners so that they can give the gift of ET to their own horses. One of her greatest joys is to watch the faces of students as they achieve success, and learn that they have the ability to heal their horses with their own hands.
JANIS HOBBS, VIC:
Janis grew up on a farm in north central Victoria. During the years living in Melbourne (for study and work) she maintained her bond with horses and nature by escaping the city to go trail-riding and camping in the beautiful Victorian High Country. Putting a lifelong passion for horses to purpose Janis qualified as an ET Practitioner in 2006 and as one of the first Australian Instructors in 2007. Her rural upbringing, study of Parelli Natural Horsemanship and (international) teaching experience all contribute to her communication and instructing skills. Perhaps like Janis you enjoy riding for pleasure, or own an equine athlete such as a dressage, eventing, endurance or harness racing horse. It does not matter: all horses can benefit from the Equine Touch. Janis is editor & publisher of the ET Australian newsletter. She holds a BA, Dip Ed and finds her work as an ET instructor provides the most rewarding of her teaching experiences. Janis enjoys sharing Equine Touch with other horse lovers to empower them with this valuable tool to care for their own horses and foster a greater connection between horse and owner.
TRISH RADKE-TAYLOR VIC:
Trish currently lives at Deep Lead, outside Stawell in Western Victoria. Her beautiful Appaloosa gelding, Koppaspots, features in many of the Equine Touch promotional materials. Trish has a long background in showjumping and dressage and has more recently become a convert to the wonderful sport of Endurance riding. In the interim period she became a student of Parelli Natural Horsemanship in 2003 and it was through this association that she found and fell in love with the Equine Touch. She watched from a distance as an ET student addressed Dave Stuart's horse at a Parelli Super camp and was amazed at the effects that it had. From that moment on she has been devoted to practising the technique and qualified as a practitioner in 2006. Dedicated to ET she travelled to Texas in 2007 to attend the first Instructor Clinic. Combining her fabulous bubbly personality with a love of helping performance horses, she is building a very busy and diverse ET Practise, and is much in demand. In 2009 she commenced studying her Diploma of Equine Podiotherapy and is now building a busy bare foot trimming business as well. Her phenomenal skills in assessing the horse's hoof have added a unique dimension to Trish's teaching of Equine Touch and assisting her students understanding.
